California-based indie folk rock band with thoughtful lyrics, powerful vocals, unique chord progressions, and dynamic bass lines.
Enjoy listening to jazz guitarists Rick Knoblaugh & Vic DeMartini while you sip on one of our fine wines.
These two jazz guitarists joined forces after unknowingly being on parallel paths in life. Both started out inspired by horn players (Vic having John Coltrane as a primary influence, and Rick gravitating toward the bebop of Charlie Parker). Both originally studied at Berklee College of Music, and then migrated to the Bay Area where they have been an active part of the music scene.
Local artist Mike McCall strums relaxing and beautiful melodies that create a great ambience to accompany a glass of wine.
Papiba Godinho was born and raised in Brasília, Brazil. His musical talents and dedication to sharing Brazilian culture led him to form SambaDá sambada.com in 1998. Papiba is a gifted song writer and his infectious enthusiasm for what he does comes across in every show, bringing people together. A “Mestre” (master teacher) of Capoeira (a Brazilian Art Form fusing dance, martial art and music), Papiba’s music is often shaped and inspired by the spirit of capoeira.

Rick's acoustic guitar instrumentals include short lyrical pieces, some contemplative suites, and some energetic slide guitar. His instrumental influences include John Dowland, Leo Kottke, John Renbourn and others. His songs tend toward humorous social commentary and metaphysical reflections. Come and enjoy an evening of acoustic music in a comfortable space with the fine wines offered at Vinoteca.
